You are eligible to take the course if all of the following is true:

You have NOT taken a defensive driving course for a traffic citation within the past 2 years – violation date to violation date.

Your violation code is listed on this acceptable
list.

You were not involved in a serious injury or fatal accident.
-
You do not hold a commercial driver's license.
-
You agree to complete the course 7 days prior to your court date.

You agree credit is given for only one violation when more than one offense has occurred.

You agree to submit your driver's license and copy of citation to Driving University to ensure you are eligible for defensive driving.

Q. Can I take your course instead of sitting in a classroom?

Yes. School's out! Our Overgaard defensive driving course is available online, so you can take it right from the comfort of your own home. Our online defensive driving class is easy to navigate, even if you're not a computer whiz. All you have to do is sign up, go through the course material at your own pace, and you'll get your Arizona Notification of Completion emailed to you. That's all there is to it!

Q. How long does it take to complete your Arizona online defensive driving course?

To comply with state regulations, the course is timed to take at least 4 to 4 ½ hours. However, since our course is online, you can space it out however you like. When you log out of the course, we'll save your spot for you. When you're ready, you can pick up where you left off.

As a requirement of the State of Arizona, the defensive driving school collects all fees
at the time of course registration. The driver DOES NOT pay fees directly to the State of
Arizona or Court.

It usually takes about 10 minutes to finish, and can be taken at home just like the rest of the course.

You will probably pass the first time. However, if you don't, you can re-take the quiz twice.

Q. Do I have to call the Court to say I've finished the course?
A.
No, DrivingUniversity.com will take care of that for you. After you're done, we'll advise the court handling your ticket within one business day and mail your Notice of Completion. If you complete the final quiz by 2 pm PT Monday-Friday, the Court will receive notice from us the same day! If you finish after 2pm, we'll report it the following business day.

Arizona Final Quiz The final quiz is not at all difficult or tricky. It's taken online at DrivingUniversity.com and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. The quiz is immediately graded and your quiz results displayed. Upon successfully completing the quiz, Driving University will notify the court of your completion and send your Notice of Completion to you. The State of Arizona requires the final quiz be only 50 questions. Half of the questions are established to ensure the student has learned the material and the other questions will only be able to be answered by the person enrolled in the course.
