Q. How often can a driver improvement course be taken?
A. The Missouri Division of Highway Safety allows you to take this Missouri course once every 36 months for point reduction and as often as you like for any other reason such as for a court. If you are taking the course for a court, keep in mind you have 60 days to complete the course after the court has granted permission. CDL (commercial driver license) holders are not eligible for taking the course for point reduction. However, CDL holders can take the course if the court has given permission to take a defensive driving course to dismiss a ticket or reduce fines.
